TIGRA as global sales and distribution partner for ADICO products

TIGRA announces its agreement being the exclusive sales and distribution partner for the “ultra-hard cutting materials” manufactured by ADICO. The South Korean producer of ultra-hard cutting materials PCD and PcBN, ADICO (Asian Polydiamond Company) will now be represented internationally. This will enable tool manufacturers to buy ultra-hard cutting materials from stock and to transform them into perfect high quality tooling.
The worldwide sales is handled by TIGRA, Germany's largest private-owned tungsten carbide manufacturer, with the headquarters in Oberndorf am Lech. TIGRA is a leading manufacturer of tungsten carbide inserts and semi-finished products for woodworking tools as well as for metal working and wear parts. TIGRA sells to more than 80 countries worldwide.
In combination with the sales activity for ADICO, TIGRA also expanded its own product line of carbide products for metal working to create a completely new and broad line of material to offer to tool manufacturers: the ultra-hard cutting materials PCD and PcBN are combined with all semi-finished carbide products for the production of tools.
With this package, both companies want to set a new course in working metals, composite materials, plastics and wood.
For the EMO 2009 exhibition, the new multi-lingual catalogue will be available and worldwide sales activities will start.
Three product groups will be included in this catalogue:
1. PCD-Products: a) 50.8mm round blanks as well as cut-to-size segments in nine different grades b) Sandwich-PCD for drills in three grades, PCD-blanks with 3mm diamond layer for wear applications in two grades c) PCD blanks and segments in two grades with a special layer for laser welding on fully automated machines.
2. PcBN-Products: a) Solid PcBN in four different grades as blanks and indexable inserts b) brazed semi-finished products in different production stages for indexable inserts, drills, milling cutters, reamers c) Double-sided patented PcBN in four different grades as indexable inserts as well as semi-finished brazed inserts in different production stages.
3. Tungsten carbide products: a) Blanks for PCD and PcBN-tipping b) tungsten carbide rods c) special carbide parts as per customer's drawing.
25-anniversary of TIGRA in Germany

Together with its colleagues and their relatives, representatives of the community, business friends from near and far, neighboring companies as well as high-ranked representatives from politics and economy TIGRA celebrated its 25-year anniversary at its premises in Oberndorf am Lech.
At the beginning many guests appreciated to look at TIGRA´s unique, advanced manufacturing. From the carbide powder to the packed goods the visitors could follow up all manufacturing processes in detail.
In the pavilion all speakers complimented TIGRA´s management and staff on their good work they have done the past 25 years.
Thanks to further innovation, investment and its main goal to be the best partner for carbide inserts for woodworking the path of the innovative company will steadily go upwards in the future.

In the festive atmosphere the about 600 guests enjoyed Bavarian music as well as various culinary specialties.
Finally a special highlight was the wonderful musically framed fireworks, which again reflected and celebrated the successes of the past 25 years.

“Welcome you in our Bavarian homeland here in the Hofbräuhaus of Las Vegas” were the welcoming words of TIGRA´s Managing Director Helge H. Motzer. Many customers and TIGRA interested people followed the special invitation in the smaller reproduction of the Munich Hofbräuhaus and celebrated the successful show. Like in the original Hofbräuhaus the cheery guests were pampered with Bavarian gastronomic specialties.
At the second largest American fair for wood processing the booth visitors were informed about latest product developments regarding ...
